ReplyDeleteI too attended the dc march and it was an amazing day. We made history. Early morning the police were solemn and ignored our good morning greetings. By mid afternoon they were talking with us and by 5 or 6 they were laughing with us. Those that we spoke to & there were many, all agreed we out numbered the inaugration. All agreed on 1.5 million and most believed we had hit 2 million mark. By monday our local tx representative's office had contacted washington pd and reported to us they were saying 2.2 million up to a possible 2.3 million. All police we encountered commented on the crowds' politeness and cleanliness. All were thanked for their service and left smiling in good spirits. A truly amazing historical event I was honored to attend.
