I just finished hunters safety education so now I can get a license to hunt. It was well worth it (despite having nightmares of junior high!) Seriously though, I learned alot about various wildlife, first aid, outdoor survival, and of course, gun safety. All useful skills. I recommend taking a hunters safety course even if you're an adult. Your state Fish and Wildlife should have information on the regulations for where you live.
I didn't realize you were such a young'n. I've got to take my kids to this sooner or later. My oldest is getting to the point that he may soon want to hunt on his own.
