So far I'm not impressed with Sprouts!

Know this isn't a recipe exchange scene - but don't give up on sprouts. Here's a great tasty way to eat mung bean sprouts - Egg Foo Yung ala Adelle Davis from my "health food hippie days" in the 60's:
ReplyDelete*finely chop equal amounts sprouts, onion(green, white or yellow) and bell pepper (red, green or yellow)
*lightly beat 6-8 eggs and mix in with chopped raw veggies (you want ratios such that eggs are just enough to hold veggies together)
*spoon mixture onto hot, lightly oiled skillet - and cook like pancakes, flattening the spoonful out, cooking over medium heat, and turning once to brown both sides.
*serve with a little soy sauce or tamari on top
delicious and nutritious - and pretty easy!
