I totally agree with you! Its important to eat what you store and store what you eat. It saves money and no food goes to waste. I've found that a rotation system is best.. speaking of which there is this website: shelfreliance.com. They have rotation syster shelving that makes organizing food storage a breeze! They also have survival gear & kits AND dried foods that actually TASTE GOOD! You should check it out they have a huge inventory and there's even a sale right now! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'll check out that site.
ReplyDeleteAn easy rule of thumb for those just starting to stock up is to double a few purchases on every trip. Buy 2 boxes of garbage bags or Ziplocs instead of just 1, buy 4 tubes of toothpaste instead of two, buy 6 boxes of pasta instead of 3. If anything is on sale, then that's definitely one of your doubled items for that trip.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty disorganized (okay, REALLY disorganized) but I have managed to assemble a fair bit of stuff using this double-a-few-things rule.
