Interesting. Last summer there were several grocery stores (particularly back east) that were trading grocery vouchers for firearms. It was ridiculous really, with something like $30 or $50 for a firearm. Having gold and silver on hand as a form of currency is wise, particularly the US coins pre-1967 which still have some silver in them. http://tinyurl.com/crxlqd
