    I would add: 5)Identify and procure the containers necessary to obtain the raw water and safely transport those containers to your home.

    Here's information on using bleach (plain, no additives) to purify water: http://www.csgnetwork.com/h2oemergencypurifycalc.html

    There's a warning that bleach should be replaced every 3 mos or so to ensure maximum strength... I'm not sure about that; I can't imagine it applies to unopened, sealed containers of bleach.
